Don’t call me white.
A little know fact for you-Korea is full of Koreans…and that’s it. There is so little diversity that we “whiteys” are considered something of a circus act. It’s really quite amusing if you look past the blatant racism. We were in a restaurant yesterday and the waitress literally couldn't take our order she was laughing that much. On a brighter note I did a training day of sorts on Friday and the students seem really cool, the pointing and laughing was minimal. My school is actually an English language institute (called ELL, a prize for anyone who guesses what it stands for) and it seems like an alright place. The other “native” (that’s us white ones) teachers have said it’s pretty badly organised but it doesn’t seem too bad to me.
Had a pretty amazing night/morning on Friday watching the Korea game at four in the morning (guess that technically makes it Saturday). Even though they’re rubbish and got knocked out the experience was immense. Hope the pico’s do it justice, if they don’t I apologise because most of them didn’t come out (drank too much soju-tasty stuff). We were at Moonhak stadium in Incheon, one of the ones used in the 2002 world cup (Incheon United play there by the way Ben). I'm pretty sure I ate squid given to me by the bloke in the first picture-the rankest thing I have ever experienced. If a Korean man ever offers you some chop-sticks and a bag of raw fish decline politely.
Anyways having an awesome time thus far, can't really think of anything else to report. If there's anything I havn't told you that you think I should have let me know. Next blog will probably be me moaning about annoying little kids.
Peace, love and a giant bear hug.
p.s. come on England!!!!

Hi Dan. Grand to get the update from you. Got the England flag flying outside and game just finished so guess you'll quite happy eh?! Even sadder, I have retrieved your old 'wall chart' and updated it for you!!!!
Can't quite get my head round time difference but guess you will have done your first full day at work by the time you get this. Hope a the little kiddies were good and they've got over the amusement of having a whitey as a teacher.
Somehow managed to have Seoul as my 'home' weather. Not very helpful and can't quite work out how to change it back. Does mean I can see you have a rainy week coming up!
Fern is sitting next to me also tapping away so I'll msign off for now and see if I can get the lowdown on the hockey weekend.
Ma

Pics are good bet the atmosphere was buzzing. U do realise I'm expecting you to teach me those crazy chants of theirs?! Hope you wore your shirt!
It all sounds good and the pics are brill. Hope your not to distraught after the footie last night(or whenever it was with you). Sounds like you are immersing yourself in the culture over there-you certainly are trying to immerse yourself in the local drinks! Keep up the good work with the blog. I will let you know how the Rhinos get on today. Bye for now,
Urfarger.
