Very quick side note to begin-yes I'm still bitter about England and I will be until we next lose on penalties.
Moving swiftly on...Saturday was spent in Seoul with that good ol' lanky pal of mine. It was very pleasant indeed until we realised that the heat had left us with as much energy as a drunk Spaniard. But while we were alive we paid £15 for something I've paid £2 for previously thanks to the 'whitey' menu we were so kindly given. Went to a couple of palace type things which were all as you might expect...orientaly. We also saw some interesting modern architecture; check out the pics for anyone who's interested.
So anyway it got even more g-r-ipping once we'd ventured to somewhere innocuously called Itaewon. An area of Seoul that is said to offer a good old fashioned knees up. As soon as we got there you could see what was so special about it-whitey central. And what happens when white folk get together? That's right they drink, quite a lot it turns out. So we watched the excuse of a football team bottle it once again and then proceeded to the famed homo-hill. It's name is certainly well earned, there were people of the other persuasion everywhere. My favourite bar had to be a nice underground effort complete with men in women’s clothes and a cat-walk for them to prance up and down on. Only they didn't, we did.
Well I won't continue any further for the sake of some of the more respectable readers. Suffice to say that thanks in part to a train blunder my head finally hit the pillow at 11.30am. For anyone who's beginning to question my reasons for being here I am doing productive things as well! They're just not as fun to recount!
