Gadzooks I've been unremorsefully neglectful of this 'ere blog. My sincere apologies! To update you on the nigh-on two months I've failed to put pen to paper (or rather finger to keyboard)...
After the sights, sounds and joyess goings on of China it was a bit of a come down returning to Korea and work. So the few weeks after that were spent just trying to put on a happy face for the wonderful people of ELL. Then at the end of October there was a big ol' deal made about halloween (they're mad for it over here). This involved us decorating the entire school in a "pirates of the caribbean" stylee, dressing up as pirates and say "argh" a lot. Of course it also meant being beaten around the head with pitchforks and other such halloween paraphernalia. There are pictures and videos that I wish to share with you, however I am unable to wrestle them from my supervisors grasp. On a similar note I want to show you the advert that was done for our school, hopefully I will have it soon...
In other news (all ELL related) I was given a new schedule which means I can be seen sat doing very little most of the week now. When I first arrived I had 30 hours of teaching. This has now been reduced to a somewhat pitiful 17 hours. I like to reassure myself that this has nothing to do with my teaching capabilities...Anyway it annoys the other teachers to see me sat doing nothing so there's definately a plus side!
It actually worked out well having very few classes because we're currently busying ourselves with 'open classes'. Basically meaning the students mothers come and sit in the class and pass judgement in an oh so superior way. So while everyone else has mothers coming out of their ears, I just have a few classes to deal with. Mwooohooohahaha! *in a Dr. Evil style*
So considering the latest trends of blogs I'll probably see you in 2007!
