Three...months...to go. Would you Adam and Eve it? Time has whizzed (or whooshed if you prefer) by like a chav in a Nova. I'm sat here in some discomfort while trying to type because I cooked chilli for a few peeps last night. Not an activity to necessarily cause discomfort you may think. However, the only cans of tomato based produce available (required for said comestible) are bigger than tyres on a monster truck. This means I have to have at them with a knife and as you can imagine by the end there's a fair amount of none tomato based red stuff. Don't know why I wanted to tell you this story but I felt compelled, plus it's my blog, so there.
Anyway something more exciting as seen as I havn't caught you up in nearly two months. Well I went on an all too brief sojourn to the south of this wonderful country. Here I found some history and culture!! I know, quite astounding but true nonetheless. I've already sent those pics to ya, hope ya like them. Look out especially for me and Ris pretending to be Jedi's on the balcony of our hotel. Me looking like a German soldier on a ATV (quad bike thingy) and Richard trying to perfect his "looking so very cool in every picture" project. On the history side of things...the hill-type entities are actually tombs of many and various kings and queens (dating back 2000 years dontchaknow). The 'Silla' dynasty (who basically created Korea) are the main focus of the whole city because it's where they ruled from (back int' day). The strange looking stone tower is apparently an observatory, although after half an hour discussing it me and Ris still didn't have a clue how it could've been used. Any ideas from you guys?? The other pics are of a palace and a temple. The temple was especially really rather splendid perched halfway up a mountain. One of the pagodas (the medium sized stone structures) within the temple is missing three stone lions from its four sides. One of which is in the British museum, Hurrah! That got me and Dicky talking about the 'Elgin marbles' and how we Brits do (or rather did) enjoy the theiving of cultural artifacts.
So that was pretty much the holdiday done and dusted. It was all good fun and definately nice to get away from the city again.
In other news I also sent ya pics of Paddy's day celebrations Korean style. As I've now learnt this involves insulting the English, singing "go on home British soldiers" and 'stoning' English people. Lovely day all in all though!
Right then I'm off to bed 'cos it's two in the morning.
Annyeong, auf wiedersehen, au revoir, arrivederci and adios amigos!

Shame you didn't get a degree in knife wielding from uni(had drink been taken before or during the cookfest I wonder?)Hope the last quarter is as eventful as the previous 3 have been. Bye for now and as my farger used to say "be good, but if you can't be good be careful"
